Half a dozen of Sam's pieces, including illustrations of Jesus Christ and Heath Ledger as The Joker, will be exhibited next weekend at the CWA Hall in Robertson Park.
TAFE student Catie Prior's paintings will also be exhibited, along with ceramics, sculpture and woodwork from artisans.
Sam said he first realised he had an artistic gift when, as a young lad, he would visit his great grandmother and great grandfather.
"I used to spend a lot of time with them and they were the ones who introduced me to drawing and painting."
Like his great grandfather, Sam draws with graphite pencils, and also polychromos black pencils.
He won't be selling his original artworks at the exhibition - mum has dibs on these - but will be selling copies.
Sam will also be artist-in-residence, meaning you can watch his technique as he draws.
The exhibition is on Saturday April 10 (9.30am-6pm) and Sunday April 11 (9.30am-4pm) at the CWA Hall in Robertson Park.
