A man has been given a 12-month community correction order and was fined $220 for intimidating the mother of his child and contravening an AVO.

The pair were not in a relationship at the time of the offence and the man is not named to protect the identity of the victim.
The 39-year-old man, caused a scene at the woman's house after he woke up from a nap and discovered his four-year-old son was missing at 5pm.
The child had wandered out of the house while the father was asleep and a neighbour contacted his mother who took the boy to her house.
Police were called because of the man's behaviour outside the woman's house and he told police, "I'll f***ing cut her throat," 'I'll bury the c***."
