Many objections have already been raised but the history of the area seems to have been totally ignored.
According to Bloomfield Hospital records, many of these trees originally came from Kew Gardens in London and the Melbourne and Sydney Botanic Gardens almost 100 years ago.
The last four years have seen us struggle to keep the many trees we have planted on our block alive.
It is unbelievable that Orange City Council can destroy more than 500 instead of creating a wonderful parkland for all our residents that could be the envy of other inland cities.
