Shelby Stanley has been accused of the murder of 24-year-old Bradley Stanley following a fight in William Street, Wellington, in January.
The matter appeared before Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday where Stanley was represented by defence lawyer Joy Kirby.
The 19-year-old was earlier charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, affray and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (domestic).
He was further charged with murder at Silverwater Correctional Facility on Monday.
About 7am on January 3, 2021, emergency services were called to William Street in Wellington, following reports of a physical altercation involving several people outside a home.
Shortly after, 24-year-old Bradley Stanley presented at Wellington Hospital with stab wounds to his stomach and neck.
He was taken to Dubbo Hospital, where he died soon after.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District established crime scenes and established Strike Force Larelar to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
Stanley remains in custody, while both matters were adjourned and would return to Dubbo Local Court on March 31.
