Racing Orange general manager Bree McMinn said the club had been busy throughout the Christmas period and the construction of an eight-horse, under cover walker at Towac Park the main upgrade to end 2020.
With Alison Smith the lone trainer working out of Orange heading into Monday's Oriana New Year Party meeting at Towac, McMinn was hopeful the improvements at the facility will ensure Orange is a viable option for trainers moving in 2021.
"We're just adding more facilities for trainers on site," she said.
"We've done a lot of general maintenance of the track, and we've been mowing to get the track ready for Monday.
"But the eight-horse, undercover walker is great to have.
"We hope to get a few more trainers working out of Orange in the future."
Monday's seven race card will double as Racing Orange's end-of-year party, and McMinn said the community was welcome to come to Towac Park and bring in the new year at the races.
"Absolutely, we're still operating under COVID guidelines and restrictions. You can buy tickets online or at the gate and then normal restrictions apply," she added.
Racing starts at 2pm with the $22,000 DVM Embroidery Maiden Plate (1400m), and the last race will jump at 5.50pm.
