Emergency services were called to Pipeline Canyon, Wolgan Valley about 3.30pm on Saturday following reports a man had fallen.

A member of the the man's group activated a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) and rescue crews were dispatched, however, the man could not be extracted on Saturday evening due to weather conditions.
NSW Ambulance paramedics, assisted by officers attached to Police Rescue and the Lithgow Volunteer Rescue Association, stabilised the man overnight and rescue efforts are currently under way to retrieve the him.

The man is reportedly in a stable condition with back and elbow injuries.
