The defending champs squared off against Cobras in a top-of-the-table clash last Thursday with Jets scraping home with a 6-4 victory.
Cobras had the better start with Sam Archer powering forward in attack to nail three goals in the opening two quarters.
Nikita Williams was able to wind up and score all six goals for the Jets, while her teammates were able to restrict Cobras to one goal in the second half.
In another senior match, Phar Laps came home strong with six goals in the second half, but couldn't close the gap enough and went down to Flounders 8-6.
Newcomers Team Platypus had a mixed night with a 6-2 loss to KWS 1sts before toppling KWS 4ths 7-2.
Goal Diggers had a convincing 12-0 victory over KWS 2nds and Squids scored a solid 7-1 win over KWS 3rds.
In the juniors, William Pell piled on four unanswered goals in the final quarter to help Wave Riders to a 6-all draw with KWS Hydra, while Emily Clunas scored a huge seven goals for KWS Kraken in their 13-3 victory over Orange Water Dragons Under 13s.
In the intermediate division, KWS Barracudas scored a strong 8-0 win over KWS Hammerheads, KWS Orcas accounted for KWS Wahoos 8-4 and KWS Unagi downed Orange Water Dragons Inters 8-4.
Round six will be played this Thursday at the Orange Aquatic Centre.
