Stacey Lee Reid, 32, of Amaroo Crescent, was in custody for another matter when she was convicted for driving while her driver's licence was disqualified.
According to police, officers saw a woman drive past with a male in the passenger seat and another passenger in the back about 4.50pm on May 24. Police followed the vehicle, which reached 80km/h in a 50km/h zone.
However, she stopped in a driveway in Amaroo Crescent and removed a small child from the back seat.
When police approached her she said, "don't do this, I get my licence back in three weeks".
She was given a 12-month community correction order and disqualified her driver's licence for six months.
Reid is already serving a two-year jail sentence with an 18-month non-parole period for subsequent disqualified driving offences and a police pursuit in August.
She will not be eligible for release until February 2022.
