Windoor Joinery will open a showroom in the building in two weeks to showcase the business's timber windows and doors that are manufactured by hand at St Mary's.
Sales representative Joel Fahy said the business produces custom-made windows, doors and arches and has selected Orange as its latest location where all products will be displayed.
"It fits in with Orange's heritage scene," Mr Fahy said.
"We are specialists in the heritage style, everything is still handmade in the factory, we mill our own timber and we've got joiners making it all by hand.
"It's been owned by the same owners for 35 years."
Ian Dolan now runs the business which was started by his parents in 1985.
Crystal shop opens
After an online business took off and resulted in her home filling with crystals, Belinda Richards decided to open The Crystal Faery in Centrepoint Arcade behind Collins Booksellers in Orange recently.
Ms Richards said she started collecting crystals when she was a child and saw the online business as an opportunity when COVID-19 caused many people to have to work from home earlier this year.
"It was something for us to do because we're on a farm as well," Ms Richards said.
"I always collected them and we thought it would be a bit of extra income because we are on the farm so why not start selling them as well."
Ms Richards is continuing to sell her crystals Australia wide and she is also looking to introduce more gift ideas, fairy items and books as well.
New coffee and homewares shop
A coffee shop and homewares collective has just opened in Molong.
Business partners Kate Redfern and Sally Brazier opened Lime and Stone to fill a gap in the market and have employed four women who are local to Molong to serve drinks and sell homewares.
"It's something we've been wanting to do for a few years and we just thought it was a good time for Molong and the two of us personally," Mrs Redfern said.
"We had a building that became available and we jumped at it."
Mrs Redfern said there were already established cafes but the coffee shop is to target people who were time poor and wanted to grab their drinks and go.
