A man has died after a single-vehicle crash on the Castlereigh Highway on Monday morning, while traffic on the Great Western Highway was also held up after another crash.

The first crash occurred on the Castlereagh Highway at Quarry Road north of Cullen Bullen at 5.53am, when a car left the road and crash.
Despite efforts to revive the driver, he died at the scene. The passenger was airlifted to Nepean Base Hospital for treatment.
Chifley police have established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.
The highway is closed in both directions, with motorists urged to use diversions along the Great Western Highway, Sofala Road and the Sofala Illford Road. This diversion is not suitable for B-doubles.
Motorists should allow plenty of extra time for this diversion.
The second crash occurred on the Great Western Highway at Meadow Flat at 6.52am, It also involves one car and emergency services are on scene.
Eastbound traffic is affected and motorists in this region are urged to reduce their speed and exercise caution.
