Coming off just a top of eight degrees on Sunday, Orange will enjoy double-digit temperatures Monday through to Wednesday before the mercury dips at the back end of the week.
Tops of just six degrees on Thursday and Friday will be followed by a maximum temperature of five degrees on Saturday, with a high chance of snow predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology.
Snow is predicted to fall overnight on Friday and into Saturday morning, and if the forecast is right Orange will wake up to a winter wonderland.
Regions as low as Bathurst are expected to enjoy falls as well, with Orange's elevation of 863m significantly higher than its eastern neighbour at 650m, while Mount Canobolas' elevation is a mighty 1395m.
Importantly for our storage levels, more rain is predicted to fall as well this week with a chance of up to 10mm on both Thursday and Friday leading into Saturday's snow forecast.
