The majority of in-person events are now sold out, but there are still opportunities for people to explore the region and participate through the VeryLocal streaming service, which was created in Orange.

Orange360 manager Caddie Marshall said the festival was going ahead due to support from Regis Resources and all events have been certified as COVID-safe.

"In the face of such uncertainty around COVID-19, it's been a testing time for our tourism industry, who are all working extra hard to ensure their venues are compliant with existing COVID-safe guidelines," she said.

"The good news is that there's been an enormous amount of interest and ticket sales," she said.

VeryLocal is Australia's first regional subscription video on demand platform and it will showcase several digital channels featuring content produced in and around Orange.

It includes a wine tasting involving Philip Shaw and wine critic Peter Bourne, a paddock to pint tasting with Pioneer Brewing which viewers can join in by purchasing the beer beforehand.

In Fire, Family and Friends Chef Dom Aboud goes back to his roots to prepare a Lebanese feast over flames for his friends at the Union Bank Orange.

In a special showcase, Condo SkyFest presents Wiradjuri Sky Stories and Dance.

There is also a video art platform Prototype, which will join forces with VeryLocal to present work from the film and art worlds.

A dedicated Slow TV channel will feature miso turning, a calming trip into the pine forests, watching artists Larissa Blake and Katrina Brennan at work, watching knife forger Isaac Power combine fire and steel, scenes from a farm and a 24-hour bonfire.

The streaming platform is led by creative directors Alexandra Burke, of Arcadia Films, and Bec Janek of Brick Road Pictures.

"As the first regional streaming platform in Australia, if not the world, it offers a very different and compelling experience," Ms Burke said.

To access the streaming platform viewers need to buy a $25 ticket from www.verylocal.com.au, which will grant unlimited access to the content from July 31 through to August 31.
