When Waratahs made the decision to pull out of the 2020 Western Premier League competition, it felt as though they would be a force to be reckoned with at the A-Grade level.

After three rounds of the local competition, Ryan Sinclair's Waratahs FC is the only undefeated side remaining as it capped off a weekend double header with a devastating defeat of Milthorpe, thumping the Tigers 6-1 just a day after scraping past Cowra 2-1.
What's intimidating about FC is that according to Sinclair, the side hasn't gotten close to its best form and the skipper says the five-goal margin on Sunday isn't a true reflection of the dominance his squad had throughout the game.
"We didn't even play that well to be honest," Sinclair said.
"We put away our chances early and buried them but it could have been double figures easily... we butchered fair few but we knocked the ball around alright.
"It was good to put Milthorpe away like that. We thought they would have stuck it to us early on but we blew them off the park in the first 20 minutes."
The 6-1 thumping ensued a tough, away win at Cowra on Saturday and Sinclair was more impressed with the road victory considering the position his side was in.
"We only had 11 and we had an over 35s' player backing up for us," he said.
"We've been scraping the bottom of the barrell and we've still got a few out suspended."
"It was really good to get a win over there with the numbers that we had. We were up 2-0 with five minutes to go and they scored a consolation goal."
The side is set for a bye in round four before returning on July 25 with a clash against Barnstoneworth United and Sinclair says the week off is a timely one for his men.
"We get some players back in the next two weeks who will really boost us," he said.
"Once we get numbers back on the park, we'll be much better.
"A few of these blokes are key guys who have played with us before so they'll be good additions for us."
In other results throughout the double header, CYMS and Barnstoneworth United produced a 4-4 shootout as each side had its attacking abilities on display.
Self-proclaimed passenger Dave Neil said his CYMS' side did very well to walk away with a draw after facing early adversity.
"We trailed 2-1 at the half and 3-1 not long after that so we did really well," Neil said.
"Outside of me drawing an old-age pension, we're a really young team so I'm sure we'll be better for the experience and knowing how to pull back a deficit."
