Shailee Meyers, 25, of Jilba Street, did not attend court to face a charge of common assault, so magistrate David Day sentenced her in her absence.
According to police, Meyers went to a house in Coulson Place on August 5, 2019, where a man and woman she knew were arguing.
She joined in and yelled at the woman before throwing a punch with her right fist, which missed the woman.
Meyers then punched the woman with her left fist causing the victim pain in her jaw and ear.
Meyers then threw an unknown number of punches at the victim who hunched over and protected her face with her hands.
According to police, Meyers walked away from the victim and was yelling profanities at her before she got into a vehicle and left the location.
Mr Day fined Meyers $550 for the assault after it was determined she had not crossed the custodial threshold.
"She has a bad record for assault," Mr Day said.
