On April 16, when the Prime Minister released modelling based on Australian data, we were shown that we literally had world's best practice with virus detection and also our death rate was one of the lowest.
Perhaps confirmation that we have top medical people and facilities.
A third string to our bow is the low transmission rates with figures for area health districts west of the divide, remaining static for some time.
A solid indication that Australians understand and accept their community obligations.
Surely, we can be assured that as new outbreaks are identified, Australia is well placed to manage them.
In the Western Area, we have 45 cases and only five still under treatment.
The Far West has only had two and the Murrumbidgee Area also 45 with 19 still under treatment.
These statistics will matter for nought if there is nothing to go back to.
Why not look to systematically ease restrictions, perhaps starting west of the divide and allow people to save their livelihoods?
What is the reasoning behind not allowing families to go for drives?
Let them out and get some normality back into the automotive industries.
Why can we go to supermarkets in controlled numbers but cannot go to restaurants, hotels and cafes in controlled numbers?
Let the hospitality industry start to reassure their clients and rebuild their industry.
