The two-day semi-final - to be played on Saturday and Sunday - will pit the two top sides from 2019-20 against each other, and while both sides only lost the one match, Morrish said City would embrace whatever underdog status the side could muster.
"Cavaliers have had a really strong back half of the season but a lot of people forget we had an incredible start to the season," Morrish said.
"We just need to recapture that."
Orange City stormed out of the gates to stamp their authority on the competition early, as they won the first three games of the season before being bested by Saturday's opponents Cavaliers in round five, just before Christmas, with that match the only game the side has lost in 2019-20.
Rain washed out two of the side's games, including one week where Cavaliers pipped Kinross, with that points buffer proving the final margin between the sides on the end of season ladder.
The Warriors skipper said the side's normally high standards had slipped in the 2020 half of the season, but was looking to rectify that.
"We need to be more attentive in the field - we've bowled really well but the effort in the field is where that'll become really important and we know Cavs don't give you second chances," Morrish said.
"Our batters need to be a bit more patient, as well."
Morrish said he hadn't been put off by CYMS nearly scoring 300 last week, either, with his bowlers still performing well.
"We were confident we were going to be able to chase it down, 300's about par on Wade Park for this season and you've got such a slim margin for error as a bowler," Morrish said.
That same bowling attack will be back on Wade Park on Saturday, and it will again be without Brett Causer, who won't return from a knee injury which the skipper called a "big loss".
However, Morrish backed the Warriors' young pace brigade to step up and said 16-year-old Jarryd Seib had been fantastic for the side, while young gun Harry McGregor had also shone in recent weeks.
"He's done everything I've asked of him whenever I've thrown him the ball, he's been really good for a kid who turned 16 a few weeks ago," Morrish said.
"Harry McGregor has been bowling the best I've ever seen him bowl over the last few weeks, even though he hasn't been getting the reward with wickets."
Can his side win through, and look to claim a three-peat?
