The Summer Street store launched a website earlier this month, including the click and collect option, where customers can order online then collect in-store at a convenient time.
Co-owner Phillip Schwebel said the site showed which books were in stock, the store could order in out-of-stock items and postage was also an option.
"We just wish to make it easy for our customers to purchase any books they need," he said.
Business retreat
TIME is running out to secure early bird tickets to The Huddle, a weekend on February 8-9 aimed at inspiring women already in business or considering the move.
About 260 of the target 400 tickets have been sold since the event went on sale last week.
Organiser Pip Brett said the event, featuring 12 guest speakers, was not just aimed at retailers or those in creative businesses.
"We have lawyers coming, we have accountants, real estate agents," she said.
Ms Brett anticipated the talks on social media would be particularly valuable.
"It's never too late to start something - people think 'I'm so behind on Instagram, I'll never get the followers', but [Grace Brennan of #buyfromthebush is] up to 200,000 followers," she said.
Sunrise television personality Edwina Bartholomew will host the event.
Early bird prices end on Christmas Day.
Mining training
PYBAR Mining Services will conduct training in Orange after gaining approval to start the Australian Institute of Mining.
AIM was established to provide nationally-recognised training for the underground mining sector and will facilitate Certificate II and III in Underground Metalliferous Mining programs.
It will also run short courses, including a one-day Learning from Disasters course, developed by the state government to be rolled out from January.
PYBAR chief executive officer Brendan Rouse said skills could be applied immediately in the workplace.
