A total fire ban has been issued for Orange for the second day in a row due to an ongoing severe fire danger risk.

Hot, dry weather has prompted the warning with the total fire ban in place for Thursday and Friday and firefighters on high alert across the Central Rangers.
There is a severe fire risk across council areas like Blayney, Bathurst, Cabonne, Cowra, Lithgow, Mid Western, Oberon and Orange.
During a total fire ban, no fire may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended.
This includes incinerators and barbecues which burn solid fuel such as wood, charcoal or heat beads.
No general purpose welding, grinding, soldering or gas cutting can be done in the open.
If you see an unattended fire call triple-0 immediately.
The NSW Rural Fire Service has urged people to stay up-to-date on Fires Near Me and has provided the below advice.
Under severe fire conditions:
- Well prepared homes that are actively defended can provide safety during a fire
- Follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan and remain vigilant
- Keep informed by listening to local radio, watching television news broadcasts and monitoring www.rfs.nsw.gov.au.
