Orange City Council approved the successful tender's bid at its meeting on Tuesday night.

Orange District Cricket Association president Mark Frecklington said it was great news for cricketers and clubs in Orange.
"It will provide another opportunity to train, particularly during the off-season when it is too cold to be outdoors in Orange," he said.
Mr Frecklington said the centre was designed more for training than for an indoor competition.
He said he was pleased the planned centre was now finally going to be built.
Work is expected to begin later in the year.
Council awarded the tender for the construction to Bathurst-based Hines Constructions, the same firm that built the Anzac Park indoor sports centre.
The $2.8 million construction tender is the largest component of the project valued at $3.4 million.
The project is funded by council, the state government, Cricket Australia, Cricket NSW and developer contributions.
