Money raised will go towards supporting McGrath Foundation breast care nurses such as Sue Kuter.
Mrs Kuter has helped women with breast cancer, during and after their treatment in Orange and Cabonne since 2011.
"I generally don't discharge anyone because where ever they are in remission or treatment they can have issues," Mrs Kuter said.
"It's important that support is provided not just for the person who has received the diagnosis but also their wider family.
"Furthermore increases in the early detection of the cancer, improved treatment options and longer life expectancy means people are living longer with breast cancer."
As well as providing emotional support, Mrs Kuter said breast care nurses can attend appointments and decode medical jargon to ensure patients are empowered to make critical decisions about their treatment.
Among those who have sought that assistance was Melissa Morgan who recently finished chemotherapy but is still undergoing radiation.
She said Mrs Kuter helped her know what to do and what was happening.
"There's a lot of health things that go wrong during chemo so you are not sure if its chemo or something else," Mrs Morgan said.
Frances Kinghorne started seeing Mrs Kuter when she was being treated for breast cancer in 2014 and although she's now free of cancer she still attends Mrs Kuter's support group and exercise classes.
I watched her over the years and she's really good at working out what needs to be done and what's appropriate for each person.

"It's not that I need support but I may be able to help other people," Ms Kinghorne said.
"It does help you to navigate the systems.
"I watched her over the years and she's really good at working out what needs to be done and what's appropriate for each person."
Orange City Council is also encouraging businesses and residents to register and get involved in the Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative.
Some businesses have registered and decided to turn their shops pink while others have put their hands up to have donation boxes.
Both D'Aquinos Liquor stores in Peisley Street and Bathurst Road are involved with staff wearing pink and they have charity boxes.
