1 JACKSON BRIEN (Oberon Tigers)
This will come as no surprise to anyone because, since moving from the centres in recent years, Brien has quickly established himself as the premier fullback in Group 10, and arguably all of Western.
His ability to play across the backline is a plus, he wouldn't look out of place at lock either, but Brien's best football has come from the back and that was certainly the case in 2019 as he piloted Oberon's bid, despite the Tigers' injury woes.
Formed a dangerous combination with the rest of Oberon's spine and had the added benefit of lock, and former fullback, Blake Fitzpatrick forcing defensive lines to give him a bit more room to move, by taking some of that heat as a threat himself.
More than anything it was once again his all but flawless decision-making and instinctive ability to read the game that made him so dangerous.
2 DUNCAN YOUNG (Orange Hawks)
It takes a fair effort to keep a player of Corey Brown's calibre out of the No.1 jersey and while Young did slot in there due to injury initially he cemented his spot at the back quite quickly, with Brown shifting to centre for balance's sake.
Was nominated for The People's Choice Central West Rugby Union Team Of The Year too, in the forwards, which proves his cross-code ability and more than anything his durability.
He's undersized but has the heart of a Lion and showed that in 2019, his composure at the back was a big plus for Hawks and so was his goalkicking, more than once he kicked the two blues to victory.
3 LACHIE MUNRO (Orange CYMS)
Along with Ryan Griffin he was probably the shining light for CYMS in 2019, once again justifying why former captain-coach Mick Sullivan had such massive raps on him in previous seasons.
He's a threat every time he touches the ball and has a great, instinctive combination with the remainder of CYMS' spine, or at the very least Griffin and half Luke Petrie, the trio often combining for results in attacking raids.
Deservedly, after another big season, has been included in the Western Rams' squad.
4 CARTER HIRINI (Blayney Bears)
Played some five-eighth toward the back end of the year and has been tested in the centres and on the wing for the Bears in the past, but found his home and his feet in Blayney's No.1 jersey this season.
The Bears struggled again but Hirini showed the kind of skills - and speed, so much speed - that has him considered among the best rugby union backs in the region, and after stuttering in his other stints at Blayney he enjoyed his best season at King George Oval in 2019.
Was consistently among the Bears' best week-to-week and was the side's biggest threat in attack with the ball, often producing something from nothing.
5 TOM LAWSON (Mudgee Dragons)
Sadly Lawson missed the last third of the season through injury after making the No.1 jersey his own in the opening 12 games of the Dragons' season, in which time he did enough to warrant a nomination here.
Formed an excellent combination with his halves and was reliable and composed at the back defensively, Lawson also crossed for half a dozen tries before succumbing to injury and kicked goals with aplomb when required to as well.
He played in the halves last season after largely holding down a reserve grade spot, but flourished at the back under Jack Littlejohn's tutelage and he picked up the Dragons' premier league most improved award as well.
