With the 40th City of Orange Eisteddfod kicking off in August, organiser Meredie Wright urged potential participants to hop online to find out about the show, which includes new sections in speech, drama and dance.
Ms Wright said the eisteddfod is not just for competitors entered by teachers or schools.
"Anyone can enter," she said.
Ms Wright said there are plenty of disciplines suited to competitors who don't do formal lessons, such as speech and drama, poetry recitals or sight reading.
"So if your class, or a group that you know, has recently prepared a play or mime, then please take time to have a closer look at the syllabus," she said.
Printed syllabi can be found at Kingfisher School Gear, Landers Music, the Orange Regional Conservatorium and the Orange Civic Theatre.
Applications close June 2.
