Organiser Marj Bollinger said about $400,000 is needed to purchase lights for the oval, to allow for night cricket and other sports to take place after dark.
She encouraged everyone to come along, as although they've been lucky enough to secure a grant to upgrade the power supply, more money is needed to get the lights project of the ground.
"Everyone is welcome, come down and have a great family day," she said.
