The Vinnies Van handed out chocolate with dinner on its Wednesday night run and Bowen Public School students were treated to a surprise the next day.
Live Better support workers Robyn Chapman and Julie Doulis then helped St Vincent de Paul volunteer Rosie Frecklington deliver the rest of the goods to various spots, including the Vinnies cafe.
Mrs Frecklington was the driving force behind the egg collection seven years ago.
"Easter is the time for sharing and what better way to do this by giving to those less fortunate in our community," she said.
Each year James Sheahan's student elected council is responsible for driving the egg collection ahead of the St Vincent de Paul's dinner run the week before Easter.
