Orange Public School had access to state of the art technology for two days this week when the state's Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths kit came to Orange.

Students had the chance to trial a range of teaching aids, which included 3D printers, robotics and 3D scanners.
Principal Brad Tom said the STEM kit items are hands on, contemporary and engaging - providing children enhanced opportunities to discover by doing.

He said the school valued the opportunity to take part in the collaborative robotic projects - which incorporate STEM subjects - as they develop students' skills, while learning the fundamentals of computer coding in a creative, responsive and fun environment.
"The children are loving the range of activities and the high level of interactive technology that is not only fun but a great source of learning," he said.
Mr Tom said STEM programs develop students' analytical, creative and computational thinking processes, providing a solid base for further development.
