It was the exotic trees, planted close to a footpath, which resulted in my having to stop the walking I love to do.
I use a wheelie walker and the exotics on the northern side of the footpath between Spring and McLachlan streets made the footpath rise up and – in one place – made me actually have to lift my walker over the raised area of the footpath.
POLL: Have your say …
- Poll conducted by polldaddy
To say nothing of the general unevenness of that area of the footpath that caused shoulder damage to me.
It isn’t the exotic trees that are the attraction, because natives are much more suited to the climate and are less dangerous for pedestrians in this case.
