Police have charged a man and teenager after shots were allegedly fired into a car at Young on Thursday.

About 2pm police claim multiple shots were fired into a vehicle that was parked outside an address on Brock Street. The owner of the vehicle drove to Young Police Station, where he spoke with police.
Officers from the Hume Police District commenced an investigation, and following inquiries, arrested a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy later that day in Blackett Avenue.

The pair were taken to Young Police Station where they were both charged with discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, fire firearm at dwelling house, and fire firearm in or near public place.
The older man was refused bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Friday, while the teenage boy was granted strict conditional bail and was due to appear at a Children’s Court on Wednesday, March 13.
In dramatic scenes on Thursday afternoon police were witnessed with their guns drawn and aimed at a white van, ordering the two men to get out of the vehicle.
Both complied with police directions, lying on the road and footpath before being handcuffed and led away.
