Two people were on Thursday afternoon helping police with their inquiries following an alleged shooting in Young.

Police say a vehicle parked on Brock Street was shot at three times at about 2pm, and they were notified of the incident when the vehicle was driven to Young Police Station.
Soon after, a 21-year-old male from Young and a 17-year-old male from Harden were arrested on Blackett Avenue.

In dramatic scenes police were witnessed with their guns drawn and aimed at a white van, ordering the two occupants to get out of the vehicle.
Both complied with police directions, lying on the road and footpath before being handcuffed and led away. Police were then seen searching the vehicle.
"We've secured the scene and are awaiting forensics to arrive," Acting Inspector of Young Police Michael Madgwick said.
Forensics will examine the scene. We found some bullet casings which will be processed.

"We've secured a vehicle which had three bullet holes in it."
Police say they weren't aware of the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and as of 3.30pm the two men were still to be questioned or charged.
"They're awaiting questioning," Acting Inspector Madgwick said.
"Forensics will examine the scene. We found some bullet casings which will be processed. It's very early in the investigation. We're just getting the basic information."
No one was injured and the vehicle which was shot at was towed from outside Young Police Station.
