Dorothy West will shave her head for this year’s cancer fundraiser and said her brother and a cousin were diagnosed with cancer just before Christmas.
“Out of nine cousins and myself, there’s only three of us who have not been diagnosed with cancer,” Mrs West said.
She will shave her head on March 30 when her team hosts a market day at Unitingcare at 76 Kite Street, with stalls, sausage sizzle and raffle.
The team is made up of staff from Uniting Home Care who previously took part in the Relay for Life as the Care Bears.
This year’s Relay for Life will be at Waratahs Sportsground on April 6 and 7.
