An undermanned City proved too strong for CYMS in their top-of-the-table clash, chasing down 9-198 for the loss of just two wickets and with eight overs to spare despite missing six of their first-choice lineup.
CYMS were sitting two points clear on top before the match but couldn’t bring it together with the bat, falling from 3-99 to lose 7-99.
Only Dave Neil (72) made a big score, while Mick Hannelly (32) and Tom West (31) provided support.
It was grim reading from then on in as seven CYMS batters were unable to hit double figures, with Morrish (5-40 from 10 overs) and Brett Causer (3-33 from nine) doing the damage.
Weymouth was dropped before scoring in the first over by CYMS wicketkeeper Sonny Day-Tennant, but after then none of the City players looked troubled, with the youngster combining with combining with Jamie Stedman (27), Jeremy Bartier (39) and Shaun Grenfell (35 not out) to see the Warriors over the line.
“I was really happy with that considering we played with six out and how we played last week,” Morrish said of the win.
“Blake was playing really well, he just loves playing against CYMS – I think he has 200 not out against them this season.”
Every bad ball he just put away and he times the ball so well.

“Every bad ball he just put away and he times the ball so well.”
Morrish said he was proud of the replacements who stepped up to the plate, but also said it was nice to do some damage personally with the ball.
“About time I did something,” he said laughing. “I was backed up well in the field.”
“In the middle session Neily sort of got away from us but in that last stint of 16 overs we bowled stump to stump and that pair off really well for us,” he said.
Meanwhile in the other ODCA game, a Mitch Black-inspired Cavaliers notched a 100-run win over Kinross despite being dismissed for 149.
Ed Taylor took a phenomenal 5-18 from 8.3 overs and Stu Crisp 2-20 from 10 to restrict Cavs as Bailey Ferguson and Kaleb Cook hit the bulk of Cavs’ score with 54 and 48 respectively.
However, Kinross struggled with the deck and Cavs’ tight bowling, being rolled for just 49 in response as only Nic Rasmussen could hit double figures.
Black led the way with a ridiculous 4-12 from 10 overs, while Ryan Noon took 2-6 from five.
