That’s all that separates the top three sides of the Orange District Cricket Association heading into round 10 this weekend.
CYMS, Orange City and Cavaliers sit on 30, 28 and 27 points respectively, and due to this weekend’s top-of-the-table clash, that order has the chance to change drastically.
Despite missing Josh Doherty, Cavaliers would have to completely collapse to not lose to Kinross, but the top-of-the-table clash is the mouth-watering cricket feast for this weekend.
CYMS and City could well be putting on a grand final preview at Wade Park on Saturday, and while the green and golds are hoping to hold onto their lead at the head of the pack, skipper Chris Novak is more concerned with playing well.
“Obviously we want to win as many games as possible,” he said.
We’re just taking it one game at a time and working on our own game and building our innings.

“We’re just taking it one game at a time and working on our own game and building our innings.
“CYMS have collapsed a little bit with the bat so we’re trying to improve on that front.”
One man who will help the CYMS batting order will be returning veteran Dave Neil, who “put his hand up” to come in for opener Aidan Moriarty for the side’s first game of the year.
Despite having the bye last week, numbers have been strong at training over the past couple of weeks despite the heat, holidays and potential hangovers that come with Christmas and New Year period.
Meanwhile, the Warriors have been struck with a glut of outs, with Harry McGregor and Lachie Coyte in New Zealand with the Orange District Junior Cricket Association.
Meanwhile former skipper Craig Rogan, Jackson Coote and Darren Barrett all confirmed to miss Saturday’s clash in a big blow to their quest to take the top spot off their rivals CYMS.
The winner of Saturday’s game will jump into top spot, with the loser likely to slide to third. Cavaliers won’t have the opportunity to push Kinross for an outright win given the games are 50-overs a side.
The top-of-the-table clash kicks off at 11am Wade Park, while Kinross host Cavaliers at the same time.
