Competing in the main event, Loves A Hassle is coming off two fifths after its last two wins – which both came at Towac Park in two separate meets in November.
The six-year-old gelding will be up against some of the best horses in the region.
Dubbo trainer Clint Lundholm will be hoping 2016 Dubbo Gold Cup winner Any Blinkin’ Day can maintain his recent form against some stiff competition, including 2016 Country Championships finalist Something Borrowed (Narromine’s Justin Stanley).
The Any Given Saturday (USA) x Mask Cheval gelding was convincing in his 2016 Gold Cup preparation, but has since endured three lengthy spells totalling 81 weeks.
A win back at the Dubbo Turf Club in November signalled his return to form.
2017 Narromine Cup winner A Magic Zariz will also be in the mix, the Zariz x A Magic Pick gelding just falling short in the 2018 Dubbo Gold Cup.
Mick Plummer is set to have three horses racing on the day as well, with two racers set to line up in the fourth race and another in the fifth.
Bossy Rose and Snappy Diamond will both put themselves to the test in the Gilgandra Services Co-Op Limited Coo-ee Cup over 1800 metres, but will be up against a strong test in Born To Power, who has four placings from its five starts.
