A repair crew was called in to make repairs, and Orange City Council Communications Officer Allan Reeder said the pool will be re-opened as soon as possible.
“It’s a large pump that’s about keeping the water quality high, but the seal is not one that we carry spares for,” Mr Reeder said.
“Orange City Council apologises for this inconvenience.
“Both the indoor 25-metre pool and the outdoor 50-metre pool are operating as normal.”
Last month the toddlers’ pool was re-opened to the public after being empty for more than month while it was repainted, with staff at the council-run facility hailing the finished product as “fantastic”.
