For the past three years the historic 1925 brick hall has been closed due to damage to the floor, roof and brickwork.
However, Rick Colless, the Parliamentary secretary for Western NSW announced on Monday the state government would provide $96,545 to add to $30,000 from the Cabonne Shire Council, to upgrade the hall.
Community spokesman David Ogilvy said the hall was sorely needed.
“We have no meeting place and the school does not have a hall. If we have a function outside and it rains we have nowhere to go,” he said.
Mr Ogilvy said he hoped work could start in March and be finished before the end of the year.
