Held at the village’s hall and reserve on Bevan Road, the day had all the trappings of a traditional Aussie Christmas.
A group of students from Mullion Creek Public School treated guests to a full-throated rendition of the Australian version of ‘Jungle Bells’.
Soon after, the competitive juices were flowing in the sack races and thong throwing events.
But the highlight was the appearance by Santa, who, in the absence of his reindeer-propelled sleigh, arrived on the back of a NSW Rural Fire Service truck.
