The award winners were announced at a cocktail celebration at Eat Your Greens in Eugowra in front of 140 business owners and staff from the Cabonne shire.
McCarron Cullinane Real Estate at Molong took out the Bendigo Bank Award for excellence in service operations - small entity, while the award in the same category for a larger entity, sponsored by Oilsplus, went to The Falls Spa Retreat.
Racine Restaurant received the First Choice Credit Union award for excellence in hospitality.
The Old Vic Inn doubled up with a second award, winning the Morse Group award for excellence in tourism.
Jayes Gallery at Molong won the Cadia Valley Operations award for excellence in marketing, advertising and communications, while the Essential Energy award for contribution to Cabonne by a community organisation went to the Age of Fishes Museum at Canowindra.
The Manildra Group Award for excellence in sustainable agriculture was won by MSM Milling.
Lou’s Cafe and Newsagency won the Central West BEC Award for best new business, while M&A Bray Transport was presented with the Bendigo Bank award for best ongoing business.
Home-based business Bugalugs Creations received the AusIndustry award for best home-based business.
Hayley Louise Slattery was named the top apprentice In the new category of apprentice or trainee of the year, sponsored by Central West Community College.
Executive officer of the BEC and chairman of the Daroo awards Bruce Buchanan said it had been exciting to see the growth in businesses over the past 12 years.
“The Daroo Awards are not a popular vote awards. There is set criteria, and businesses need to focus on their successes and strategies over the past 12 months,” he said.
