Josh Nagle (15 years boys), Kyle Ostini (14 years boys), Connor Whiteley (12 years boys), Lauren Kerwick (12 years girls), Frehiwot Ward (11 years girls), Charlotte Simmons (10 years girls) and Grace Weekes (10 years girls) will take to various distances over the Western Sydney track.
ORC president Frank Ostini expected all seven runners to perform well.
“They all expect to do well and I think they will all put in strong times. They’ll all be happy with that,” Ostini said.
Close to 100 girls and 100 boys will be racing in each age group from the Combined High Schools, Combined Independent Schools and Combined Catholic Colleges at the championships.
For Ward, Weekes and Simmons, it’ll be their first time competing at a state level.
“Kyle, Connor and Lauren all went last year and Josh he has been before, too,” Ostini said.
“I think having that experience and knowing the track and the pressure of the race will benefit all four of them.”
The NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships at Eastern Creek start next Friday.
