NSW Country gave Dave Cleal a good send off finishing third at the National Women's Rugby Union Championships in Sydney on Sunday.
This was the last time the Orange-based coach was going to lead the girls at the national event and his players didn't disappoint.
The team was rewarded for their strong performance with seven players named in the 22-woman Wallaroos squad to play New Zealand's Black Ferns.
Country easily accounted for the Sydney number two side on Thursday winning 66-12.
On Friday Queensland toppled NSW Country 35-16 after leading 18-6 at half-time.
NSW Country cruised to victory in the play-off for third place overall with a 64-7 win over Victoria.
Fullback Tobie McGann ran in five tries for NSW Country and Orange Emus' Alana Thomas kicked seven conversions in the team's dominant victory.
In the final, Sydney firsts defeated Queensland 17-0 with the Queensland side missing a few players from their physical encounter with NSW Country.
In the other games the Brumbies downed Sydney seconds 29-5 in the play-off for fifth and Australian Services defeated National Indigenous 24-10 for seventh spot.
NSW Country's Rebecca Anderson, Alicia Frost, Tobie McGann, Louise Morrison, Kylie Pennell, Alana Thomas and Rebecca Trethowan were named in the Wallaroos squad along with six from Queensland, five from Sydney firsts and two each from Victoria and the Brumbies.
