The 15 year old has a passion for books.
So much so that she's written three novels in her spare time, and has a number of other works in progress.
"Just for fun, it might sound weird but I love it," she said.
"It's my passion and I enjoy doing it."
The young author's talent was recently recognised with a short listing in a state wide competition hosted by the Children's Book Council of Australia.
At the suggestion of her history teacher Alexandra entered her fantasy genre novel "The Fall of Anthromedga".
The work was selected as just one of four finalists from across the state.
"It was such an honour to have been included," she said.
"It took me eight months to write and I'm still in the process of editing it." Not surprisingly the year 10 Orange High School student hopes to become a writer.
