Several metres taller than the current posts, the four new lighting towers will boast 1200-watt light globes that will provide up to 300 lumens, basically the sort of light capable of giving the playing surface enough glow to meet current standards for rugby league and cricket matches.
On site to pitch the poles, Central West Electrical Contractors can attest to the lighting qualities that Molong Rec-goers are about to benefit from; and not just from a professional perspective.
Brothers in business together, Hudson and McCoy White, are also footy-lovers themselves.
Bathurst St. Pat's veterans, the pair believes it's was about time the smaller towns enjoy similar sporting benefits to those in the bigger areas.
"Every other city or bigger towns are getting the big sporting lights across the region, so it's good to see the smaller towns getting the same thing," foreman for the lighting company, Hudson White said.
"Molong seems to be a small town that keeps growing, so it's good for the town and it'll give all of the sporting clubs across the Central West equal playing fields."

In an earlier story covered by the Central Western Daily, Molong Advancement Group's president, Mr Peter Batten, said the approved funding would finally see the town be able to host larger-scale sporting events of an evening.
"It means that it will allow [Molong] to have semi-professional rugby games here and also Twenty20 cricket games under lights," Mr Batten said.
McCoy White echoed Mr Batten's views, especially when it came to the evening footy matches.
"It'll definitely improve the sporting culture in small towns, especially ones [like Molong] that are already a very footy-based town," he added.
"And night games are always great so I think it'll help grow that culture even more, and everyone loves going down to watch a Friday night footy game."
Operations for the Molong Rec's lighting project will be done and dusted over the days of January 11 and 12 in 2022, when residents can get underway with the sporting calendar, and other evening event ideas.
"We were really pleased to see [the project approval] because it will mean a lot for Molong. Even down the track it might mean we can have night markets," Mr Batten said.
