Airport staff called police on Thursday morning after a passenger, who arrived late, became abusive when he was denied a boarding pass.
The plane had been boarded and was ready for take off.
The man continued to abuse staff before throwing a steel bollard over the counter.
Central West Police District officers served the man, 26, with an offensive conduct infringement notice.
