The club members, the board and its staff, dug deep this year after a call-out for donations went live on social media, with the aim of the club to ensure that children in underprivileged circumstances wouldn't go without this Christmas season.
"Everything you can see in the van that is wrapped, that's all just from our members alone," said marketing and communications manager for the club, Ellie Eveleigh.
"The board were incredibly generous; they gave us $750 to put under the tree, so [our toy drive organisers] just went crazy and bought a heap of gifts for the kids - from babies to 18-year-olds and everyone in between - which included a bunch of sporting equipment and more.
"There'd easily be thousands and thousands of dollars worth of gifts this fourth-year running, easily".
Corps officers for the Salvation Army in Orange and Bathurst, Colin and Kate Young, have been with the Salvos for over 25-years and said that Salvos members hadn't seen the donations volume quite like it before.
"[I read a recent article on] some figures that were released yesterday, and it talked about the stress that people have been under with the pandemic and it was enormous," said Major Colin Young.
"What I think we've been seeing in terms of generosity is like a release; it's like people have exhaled and gone 'oh goodness me, it's near the end now and we can get back to normal."
Both corps officers explained how this year's donations have been more abundant than ever, which will reach even more children across the region's cities and smaller towns.
"This year has just been absolutely incredible ... the generosity we've seen is tremendous, truly."
