Dubbo South Public school will remain closed on Friday following a fire which ripped through four classrooms on Thursday afternoon.

The school issued an email to parents and staff on Thursday evening which said this would ensure the premises is safe, and allow authorities to investigate the cause of the fire.
"We are currently unable to access the site at this time to gauge exactly the extent of the damage, or to retrieve any items from the school," the email read.
All students were evacuated safely and accounted for, after the blaze broke out around 2.30pm.
For students who may be upset and anxious about the fire, support from the school counselling team is available on Friday.
Students and their parents can get help managing their feelings in person today at the Department of Education Regional Office on Arthur Street mehind the Mian School between 10am and 3pm or by calling 0467 817 656 to arrange a time.
