'Momentous' moment as sod turned on Parkes' Newell Highway Bypass project

A sod turn in itself isn't an inherently exciting moment, but what it does signify is progress - and Parkes Shire Mayor, Cr Ken Keith OAM, said Monday was an "extremely significant day for Parkes' as the first sod was turned for the $187.2 million Newell Highway Bypass project.
