Up to 8pm Wednesday, there were no new cases for Orange, Cabonne and Blayney, but six were identified in the Western NSW Local Health District. There were in Bathurst (4), Oberon (1) and Walgett (1).
Since Saturday, October 23, Orange has recorded ten cases: one on Saturday, one on Monday, seven on Tuesday and one on Wednesday.
The seven cases recorded on Tuesday is the highest number the Orange LGA has reported in a single day since the pandemic started.
Across the state, there were 293 fresh cases of COVID. Another two people have also died with the virus, bringing NSW's death toll to 508.
In Thursday's update it was also reported that 381 people were in hospital with 82 requiring intensive care.
The state's cases, which have dipped back below 300 after climbing over that mark on Wednesday, arrive alongside Victoria's deadliest day of the outbreak so far.
93.3 per cent of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 86 per cent of people aged 16 years and older have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
