No new cases of COVID-19 were recorded across Orange to 8pm on Thursday, but one of the seven new cases across the Western NSW Local Health District forced the closure of a primary school in Bathurst.

Two new cases were recorded in Bathurst alongside two in Dubbo, one in Walgett, one in Lightning Ridge and another in Bourke, contributing to the 345 across NSW in the latest reporting period.
The Assumption School in West Bathurst was closed on Friday morning to all staff and students following confirmation of a positive COVID-19 case within the school community.
Principal Kate Salmon said the school had been notified of the case and was now working with Catholic Schools NSW and NSW Health to follow all protocols.
Students and staff have been asked to self-isolate until further information is available while anyone who is feeling unwell has been asked to get tested immediately for COVID-19.
Australian Community Media understands one of the two new cases in Bathurst was infectious in the community.
NSW chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant indicated she's particularly interested in next week's case numbers as an indicator of how much the end of lockdown has influenced the spread of the virus in NSW.
Seven is the highest number of new COVID-19 cases reported in a 24-hour period in the Western NSW LHD in the last week.
Across NSW, five more people have died.
Vaccination rates continue to climb steadily, with 92.7 per cent of people over the age of 16 vaccinated with one dose. For double doses state wide, the figure is 83 per cent.
Across Orange, over 95 per cent of the adult population has had one dose of vaccine while the rate of double dose is also nearing 90 per cent, as of this week.
In NSW, the new cases were detected through 76,594 tests conducted during the 24-hour period to 8pm on Thursday.
