On Friday, October 8, and Saturday, October 9, Manildra residents aged 12 and over can get their first shot of the Pfizer vaccine. Bookings are not needed for first doses at the pop-up.
Anyone aged between 12 and 15 years must be accompanied by their parent, guardian or nominated carer.
The Western NSW Local Health District (WNLHD) is urging students to take up this opportunity to get vaccinated as schools return to face-to-face learning.
Those attending will need to bring some form of identification and where able, their Medicare card. The queue may be long, so people are encouraged to come prepared with food, drink, perhaps a portable chair, a hat and sunscreen.
Second dose clinics will be scheduled.
If people have mobility/accessibility difficulties and can't get to a clinic, phone 1800 684 523 and leave a message with your name, contact number and the town the clinic is in and someone from WNLHD will get in contact.
People must not attend the clinic if they are waiting on a COVID-19 test result (unless this was a surveillance test only and the person is not unwell), are a confirmed close contact of a positive COVID-19 case, are unwell (anyone with COVID symptoms should get tested and isolate until they receive a negative test result), or have had any other vaccination (including flu) in the previous seven days.
For more vaccine information, visit the WNLHD website.
