Speaking on Thursday, chief executive of Western NSW Local Health District, Scott McLachlan said that the Summer Centre, as well as the IGA inside, would be added to NSW Heath's online list for the time between 11.30am and 12 noon on September 15.
"It's a casual contact location so it's not a high risk where people have been identified as a close contact and needing to isolate for the full 14 days," he said.
"It was a case that's been identified in Mudgee, travelled through Orange at the time. Three venues of concern have also been identified in Mudgee with that.
"Can I please urge everyone, even though Orange is coming out of the stay-at-home order, there is still risk and still people that will potentially be coming through the community COVID-positive. It's time to maintain all the things we need to do."
The news came on the same day that it was announced Orange's stay-at-home restrictions were lifted from 12.01am on Friday.
Mr McLachlan said this venue of concern would not impact those easing of lockdown restrictions.
"Those are the things taken into account with the risk assessment of quite a few things now whether it's sewage detection, testing numbers, how infectious a person was when they were in the community and the type of venues that they visited and the risk to the community," he said.
"Those are the things they will continue to refine, but the best public health experts we have in NSW Health are looking at this on a very regular basis. I don't see any impact for the (relaxed) stay-at-home orders being removed from Orange from this."
