Be it on Facebook, or in the Central Western Daily itself, the young girl's random acts of kindness certainly got the city talking.

Up until now, just like Cher or Prince, she known only by the first name. But that young writer has now been identified as 12-year-old Orange Public School student Madi Gwynne. Fair to say she was not expecting the outpouring of support.

"I put them out just to make people happy, because that makes me happy," she said of delivering letters and flowers to ten random homes.

"Then mum called me and said that most of the people I'd delivered to had put posts on Facebook about it and all of mum's friends kept tagging her in all the posts."

It all started when she decided to pick a bunch of flowers because she "was bored."

"I had so many flowers and then I had the idea to write little notes and put them around town. I figured I was going to go for a walk anyway so why not," she said.

"It wasn't like it was a big planned thing and I didn't think it would be so affective.

"I tried to do families that I knew had kids, because I know that children take things like that very well. I thought if someone has a family, it will make five times the people smile."

Now Madi is contemplating doing it all over again.

"I've never actually done something like this before," she said.

"It's great to see that so many people have smiled and that I've made their day better."
