An exhibition of all the pieces goes online Tuesday night at 8pm - with all works up for sale on the Corner Store Gallery's website.
Gallery director Madi Young said the finalists were selected from 159 entries, with the overall winner to be announced Saturday, September 18. First place is solo exhibition space at the gallery.
"Each artist presents three artworks... and it's sort of meant to be a little preview of what their solo show would be if they win," Ms Young said.
"So they just... need to show us what they've got and [finalist selection was] based on quality, originality, saleability... and just the general quality of the work."
In addition to Ms Young, also judging the Mini Series Art Prize is Orange Regional Gallery curator Lucy Stranger and artist/educator Angela Malone.
Finalists are: Kayla Amos, Ana Anderson, Emily Birks, Kim Bizo, Kiandra Buchanan, Shellie Christian, Hannah Cooper, Natasha Daniloff, Emily Day, Mary Donnelly, Heather Dunn, Nicole Fearfield, Jo Fernandez, Ann Gordon, Melissa Guest, Narelle Higson, Skye Jasper Mooney, Andrea Kirkham-Hopgood, Ingrid Kwong, Yani Lenehan, Elizabeth Lewis, Leree Lindsay, Vickie Liu, Debbie Mackinnon, Deb, McKay, Korynn Morrison, Petra Pinn, Jennifer Rosnell, Zoe Sernack, Jan Spencer, Lauren Tausend, Jane Tonks, Natasha Townsend, Amanda Tye and Kylie van Tol.
